An offer you can’t refuse

When you think the web can’t get any lower, here comes the Financial Times to the rescue with an article about Italian Football and in particular serie A team Palermo:
“Another kicking for southern Italy’s football”
The article is an open attack on Italians, with a bunch of ironic theories mixing up mafia, football, bad parking, spaghetti, mandolino and pizza with mozzarella, and making even the Raelian theories on Aliens sound almost realistic.
To sum it up, either:
1) The journalist was drunk, or
2) The journalist was about to get fired,
or (and I think this is the real explanation)
3) The journalist’s ex girlfriend cheated on him with a guy from Sicily, he then got engaged and married another woman that also cheated on him with a Sicilian dude and asked for divorce 2 months later, and while going back home after signing the divorce papers he got finally robbed and beaten up from another guy with a Sicilian accent.
