One of my photos has been published in the Rome edition of the Where Magazine!
It wasn’t one of my best shots for sure, and they didn’t even put my full surname for credit (just “fulvio v” … better than nothing I guess…) but it did make me feel a bit flattered. :)

Omg, Flickr Explore

Today I found out that one of my pictures made it to the Flickr Explore Gallery – a selection of the 500 most “interesting” photos submitted every day on Flickr.
Considering these pictures account for about 0.1% the total number of pictures submitted daily, I was pleasantly surprised.

Yay, a new toy

After being deprived of my old digital camera during my summer road trip from the nice, polite citizens of Marseille, I finally decided to buy a new one, stepping up from the Kodak 6490 I had to a more professional (and infinitely more expensive, sigh) Canon EOS 400D.
The first impact I had from the world of SLR cameras was like being thrown in the middle of an ocean without knowing how to swim.
I thought I had a basic knowledge of cameras before but now I realize I was really no more than an amateur wannabe.
Oh well, time to practice shooting and studying photography to the next level, be ready to see some new pictures in my flickr gallery very soon :)
