Can someone please explain to me …
…why the hell Microsoft always assumes the whole world is using Windows?
And why am I getting these retarded popup messages on my Hotmail homepage:

…when Internet Explorer for my operating system doesn’t even exist anymore?
No, I am not going to “upgrade” (lol) my Safari 3.0 to a more “recent browser” (double lol), but you Microsoft idiots should definately upgrade to a more functional brain.
Thank you.
R.I.P. Italia.it
One image sometimes can tell more than 1000 words.

Not even one year ago this website costed the Italian taxpayers 45 friggin million euros (read the full story here if interested), and was shut down this weekend because it was marked as a “failure”.
It was closed without any public statement, without any apology, without any explanation to where the money went.
I could have made the same website, maybe even faster and more functional, in two weeks for 500 euros.
Shame on you all.
From an animated gif to a good movie
Being sick in bed and all, I got loads of time to spare which I usually thoughtfully invest in doing … err … nothing.
I was browsing a games forum yesterday afternoon when a gif avatar used by some guy caught my attention and really cracked me up:

I was wondering where that was coming from, and started immediately my Sherlock Holmes “Bored at Home” investigation.
Step 1: www.youtube.com.
Keywords: cop, hilarious, shoot, fun.
I first ended up with a video of a cop shooting his frigging foot during a school demostration, amazing stuff.
After some digging though i came across the full video of the gif movie i had into my hands, yey!
Name of the video: “Benny the Supercop” … hmmm we got a name.
Browsing for a while similar videos and reading all comments, I finally found a possible name: Kopps.
A quick check on www.imdb.com confirms my suspect, that’s my movie. Only drawback: It’s a Swedish movie.
Step 2: www.thepiratebay.org
And guess what: my movie is there. 700mb, straight dvdrip.
ETA: 3 hours 20 minutes. not bad.
Step 3: www.subscene.com
Need english subtitles for my swedish movie. :)
Step 4: Enjoying movie
Movie was cool and EXTREMELY funny.
Props to the swedish production.
My investigation was successful, I was once again victorious.
God bless the internet.
After Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails bid farewell to music labels
Trent Reznor from the official Nine Inch Nails website:
Hello everyone. I’ve waited a LONG time to be able to make the following announcement: as of right now Nine Inch Nails is a totally free agent, free of any recording contract with any label. I have been under recording contracts for 18 years and have watched the business radically mutate from one thing to something inherently very different and it gives me great pleasure to be able to finally have a direct relationship with the audience as I see fit and appropriate. Look for some announcements in the near future regarding 2008.
Exciting times, indeed.
This is shocking news.
My wish is that all music artist will start to auto produce their own music using the web and show the majors who really is in control.
It is cheap, it is practical, it is quick, you don’t have to queue in a Virgin Megastore to get the album you want to buy and 90% of users prefer digital formats anyway. Who goes around carrying a CD player nowadays? It was about time something like this happened. Good luck to all music bands that will follow their example. The future is now :)
F*** Y**, repubblica.it
I have been waiting for the latest Harry Potter novel for over a year now, I dont consider myself a huge “fan” but I do enjoy reading the books, and last night (the release day of the seventh and last episode) I find a HUGE spoiler on the repubblica.it homepage telling exactly how the story ends. If I could spit on the author of that article, I would.
They removed it now, after probably 2 million emails from angered fans, but I took a screenshot to show everyone how LOW people can get. Click here to see it.
*update*: I am glad to see they are receiving loads of negative feedback from the italian Blog community, both from Harry Potter fans and casual readers. Check it out here.
