Why is Erich Priebke still around?

Erich PriebkeWhy is this man still around?
I had almost forgot about him. Almost.
But now I am reading on Repubblica.it that he has been asked to partecipate at a “beauty contest” as a member of the jury? Are we serious?
I don’t care that he is 95.
There is no forgiving. There is no peace.
There is no “forget the past and move on”.
This man is a mass murderer, a ruthless assassin, a NAZI.
This man led the killing of 335 innocent civilians, one after another.
He even shot two himself, just for the sake of it.
Every day I am working my ass off and I am contributing to the taxes that will also pay the rent of his apartment in Rome where he is held “prisoner” because he is “too old to be kept in a standard prison”. Oh really? Poor boy. Let’s give him cake every day as well then, shall we?
Erich, I really hope to not see your face ever again, on the web,  news, newspapers, anywhere.
I am reaching my limit.

Note:
I thought it would be useful for the internet community to report the address of this NAZI, so that you can write him your letters of “encouragement” and “support”
Here goes:

Erich Priebke

He nearly killed my grandfather in the ’44

Laßt Erich Priebke endlich frei !!!

  • Fulvio says:

“Laßt Erich Priebke endlich frei !!!”

He is free already. He is free to walk from the living room to the toilet of his “prison apartment” without anyone shooting him in the ass. A luxury that most jews in concentration camps didn’t have, as far as I know. So, after all, he managed to get a pretty good deal, considering that if it was for me I’d throw him in a swimming pool full of alligators.

Fulvio, you talk like a nazi punk. Perhaps you are not much better than Erich Priebke after all.

  • Fulvio says:

I am sorry, but tolerance towards ex-nazis is a part of myself that I don’t plan to improve or develop.

  • Voyar says:

War is war, the Italian terrorists who planted the bomb that led to the reprisal are hailed as heroes . EP was obeying orders just like american, italian, french soldiers did and do .I happen to know the people in his building are happy he is there as the carabinieri stationed there make them feel safe from crime. grow up, read, educate yourself and deal with this hate problem, he is after all like you ,just a man, but the difference is that he is cultured and wise

  • Fulvio says:

    “grow up, read, educate yourself”.
Funny, from the way you talk seems like you are the one that needs to do some reading. I will help you pal, here are a couple of links you could start with:

As you said, war is war. But following orders about torturing innocent people and civilians is NOT an excuse for someone’s barbaric actions. You should be ashamed of yourself for only thinking that.
And since you still bring back the old “I was following orders” pathetic excuse, I suggest you have a read at this too:

“Without an unquestioning attitude towards obeying orders, the successful conduct of military operations, the success of a military campaign, and even the survival of a nation would be seriously threatened. Yet, the soldier, and especially the officer, also has a legal obligation to disobey orders that violate the constitution or the law, and has a moral and ethical obligation to disobey orders that are contrary to societal norms. Thus, the soldier’s requirement to obey orders is not open-ended,and the oath of loyalty is not an excuse for blind patriotism or blind obedience to orders, the infamous “I was following orders” defense. Even within the German Military tradition, such a defense is not legally permissible, despite its use by the defendants at the Nuremberg war crimes trials (as well as at other war crimes trials). Article 47 of the 1872 German Military Penal Code, still legally in force, if not unenforced, down to 1945, stated:

If execution of an order given in line of duty violates a statute of the penal code, the superior giving the order is alone responsible. However, the subordinate, obeying the order is liable to punishment as an accomplice if … he knew that the order involved an act the commission of which constituted a civil or military crime or offense.

  • Steve Smith says:

You must remember, his young soldiers were murdered by terrorists wearing civilian clothes. Of course there was outrage and a desire for retaliation. The objective was to send a harsh message that terrorism against soldiers by civilians would not be tolerated.

  • Chris says:

My grandpa was fighting in the resistance. They were fighting uneven war against these Nazi well equipped BA****DS .
For this mass murder this Nazi criminal deserves a bullet in the head

  • Azure says:

I Think that maybe “someone” is forgetting THE big thing….
The BIG, BIG thing, hidden, misplaced for nearly 70 years.
Roman Partisans organized the “Via Rasella Blitzkrieg”, in an old military dep, where dozens of German teen soldiers DIED, for God sake..They DIED! Everybody…And their very guilt was to be in the wrong place, in the wrong time. They were 20something german boys (somobody was younger) returning from a “square-bashing” in the countryside. They were sent to Italy just a few weeks earlier. Everybody had parents, girlfriends, wives. None of them EVER EVER Shot a civilian.
And do you know what did the big boss of the partisans tell to his deputy when he notified him that putting a Bomb during the Day in the very center of Rome meant sure death for civilians???
He replied: ” It’s a risk we have to take, I know that, but our mission is before everything else”…
That Day the bomb blew out, while a mother with her child was just passing by…THEY DIED, along with the german boys!
Nobody, and I say NOBODY even cared about two roman civilians…Neither the Partisans, nor (of course) the Nazis…

Guys, start to think with your own head, not with dogmas learnt in years and years of brainstorming….
And I’m not a NAZI, never, ever I felt Symphaty for them.
One thing is “Sant’Agata”, onother thing is Fosse Ardeatine…
    Bye

  • Alexander Kuznetzov says:

Yes, it is really more than time to let him free. If he had been wearing another uniform or even better, no uniform he would never had been send in prison!! “Justice” made only by the winners and adaped at their taste is not Justice.

  • Alexander Kuznetzov says:

Anyway, Fulvio, even if we disagree, it is very correct from you to let everybody freely give his mind.
